A Belated Holiday*

How do you greet others during that special period between Thanksgiving and New Year’s?

I don’t mind admitting I prefer “Merry Christmas” … because Christmas is what I celebrate. But I still do not understand why “Happy Holidays” has been deemed a bad expression. Having said that, I wanted to showcase the holiday* card I designed while working with Collins, Waters & Bridgman Integrated Marketing in 2007.

Some may think this is too edgy still, but the concept was not meant to offend. In fact, the idea was to just have a little fun with the whole greetings issue. Our generic holiday* greeting was meant to be a catch-all. It comes with an “asterisk” and a little comedic legalize to protect ourselves. These days it seems everything comes with some form of exclusion, exception or fine print so why should our greeting card be any different?

So here’s to a belated happy holiday* and best wishes this 2008.
